This well done choral presentation was recorded at the Adelaide (Halifax Street) Ecclesial Hall by a small group of Brethren and Sisters in the Adelaide area, accompanied by a wonderful pipe organ. My personal favorites include: *Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem *Cry Out and Shout! (The Choir and the Organ are outstanding!) *Daughter of Zion (My husband, Bro. Mike's, favorite hymn. I cannot listen to this hymn without hearing his rich rousing voice singing straight from his heart!) *Oh! Why should Israel's Son's Once Blest. *Come Thou Glorious Day of Promise! These last two vintage hymns were somehow (??) left out of the "new" 1964 hymn book. What a pity! Our Ecclesia loves them as much as the brethren did over a hundred years ago. This CD comes with a beautifully illustrated booklet that includes the words to these songs, which makes singing along irresistible! This CD has been recorded by some very talented brothers and sisters. There are 11 singers in all whose voices are absolutely beautiful and the blend of the close harmony is wonderful. Some of the songs are accompanied by top quality piano, flute, violins, cello, and viola. Among the thirteen song selections are the comforting anthem "Cast Thy Burden Upon the Lord," the moving hymn "Shall We Behold The Promised Land" (written by Bro. I. Collyer), and the beautiful song "Love is Patient" (written by Sis. Julie Anderson).
