This is a unique cookie/candy recipe that is delicious and easy to make.
Put enough graham wafers (around 20) down to cover bottom of a 9" x 13" pan. (You may have to crack a few in half to fill in the blanks!) Melt 1 cup margarine; add 1 cup brown sugar and boil 3 minutes. Pour over wafers and bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes (or to toffee stage). Remove from oven; sprinkle with 12 oz. chocolate chips and spread all over top. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped. Press gently down. Refrigerate until set, and then break up into pieces.
